We are thrilled to announce we are leading a $7.5m Series A investment in OneCrew, a company building an operating system for the paving and asphalt industry.
At Stage 2 we’ve spent the last few years exploring a thesis around the next generation of ERP. ERP is a massive market dominated by legacy players. While cloud moved ERP online, it didn’t fix what’s broken: poor usability, clunky workflows, data silos and a “one size fits most” mentality. We’re excited about vertical-specific solutions that are deeply aligned with how today’s businesses operate and deliver real value from the outset.
OneCrew is exactly that. Starting with SMBs, they are building end-to-end business management software for the asphalt and paving industry.
Paving might sound niche, but the market is large with hundreds of thousands of contractors across paving and concrete in North America alone. There’s an opportunity to build a full software platform, including estimating, scheduling, invoicing, and dispatching. Expansions into payments, payroll, and other financial services will make this an operating system for a market that’s ready for more modern software.
The company was founded by Ari Bleemer and Max Kostow in 2022 and is now serving top contractors across the US and Canada, with plans to expand globally in the coming years with this capital. We’re excited to lead this round and partner with Ari, Max, and the whole OneCrew team.
