Dan brings over 4 decades of experience to Stage 2 Capital and has helped scale 6 start ups as a key employee, turning 2 of them into unicorns. The #6 employee and first sales person at HubSpot, Dan spent 17+ years across a variety of roles, often focusing on inbound sales, demand generation and marketing, customer success and operations. Dan ran the HubSpot Small Business Division for several years, helped start the HubSpot for StartUps Program in 2010 and was instrumental in the inception of the HubSpot Partner program in 2008. He also worked in HubSpot Academy, and spoke throughout the world more than 100X as an INBOUND fellow.
He has been the CEO and founder of two fast growing scale ups and currently runs Tyre Angel, an investment company with the mission of building great leaders and building great companies. Dan is also an accomplished advisor, author, Board Member, executive coach, and speaker, having delivered keynote addresses at universities and conferences across the globe.
Outside of Stage 2 and his ventures, Dan enjoys traveling and adventures, ranging from treks to the Peruvian Amazon to the Arctic Circle.
Dan holds a BA in Political Science from Colgate University.
