Bob has an extensive background in enterprise cybersecurity & multimedia IP licensing, with nearly 30 years of experience on both the software and hardware side. In addition to his current role leading the overall sales, revenue generation, and marketing efforts at Medcrypt — a venture-backed medical device cybersecurity startup — Bob is also the Deputy Chair of the GSMA’s Device Security Group (DSG). Bob was previously CRO of MergeBase, acquired by Finite State, and CRO of Cybeats, a leader in the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) Management space, where he helped grow revenue from first customers to an IPO on the CSE (CYBT). While living in Korea, Bob started the Samsung Exynos Mobile Application Processor businesses and later co-founded and was CEO of Valona Labs, an enterprise cybersecurity software startup, helping lead them to a successful exit in less than 2 years (acquired by HMD Global/Nokia Mobile, creating the HMD Global Software Center of Excellence in Tampere, Finland.)

Bob has extensive experience as a GM and senior leader in enterprise software and services innovation with entrepreneurial units of large international companies and startups. He has a successful track record within the B2B and B2B2C software spaces of growing venture-funded and angel-invested startups and large international companies into larger teams and business units, creating substantial upside revenue streams and successful “exits.
